Mr. Grant became the 16th President of the JCSA on 28 May 2011.
Prior to assuming his role as President, Mr. Grant was Honorary Treasurer to the JCSA, a position he held for seven (7) years. He is a Jamaica College alumnus where he excelled in track and field. O’Neil is a trained Accountant, Auditor and Financial Analyst with over Twenty-Seven (27) years of experience both in the private and public sectors. A consummate professional with high ambitions, Mr. Grant has certifications in Legal Administration, General Management and Accounting and holds an Executive MBA from the Mona School of Business. He is affiliated with several institutions where he serves or has served on their Boards; Management Institute for National Development, Chairman of the First Heritage Cooperative Credit Union Limited, Director and former Chairman of FHC Foundation, Director of FHC Investments Limited, 2nd Vice President of the Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League, Director of the National Housing Trust, Director Fair Trading Commission/Consumer Affairs Commission, Member of the Commission for the Review of the NHT, Director of the JCSA Limited and the JCS Housing Company. A Vice President of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions and a member of the Partnership for Jamaica, He has made his foray into the international labour scene as a Vice President of the Caribbean Public Services Association in 2011-2012 now serving as a member of its Executive and as a part of Jamaica’s Delegation to the International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as the Worker Representative. |
